The Strategic Assembly for Leadership Thrust (SALT) Initiative is a non-partisan, non- religious and non-ethnic Not-For-Profit Organisation with a mandate to promote positive change at a personal cum societal level. The Group believes that ordinary Nigerians hold the key to the fundamental development we crave as a people. It avers that if a critical mass of the populace sticks to doing the right thing (within their own various spheres of influence), they will ultimately begin to influence the larger society towards true change. In order words true and sustainable change is organic and begins from we the citizens.

The Initiative was founded by a group of enthusiastic Nigerians cutting across diverse walks of life who share a passion for positive change, humanity, justice and national development. They give their time, expertise and resources to this cause.

About The Gathering

Presently, this is the instrument being used to drive home SALT’s mandate. The Gathering is a periodic and informal assembly of informed minds executed in a town hall meeting style and purposed to stimulate conversations around germane issues which border on the following:

Nation Building and National Development
Leadership
Youth Engagement, Empowerment and Mentorship

The Gathering has been designed as a monthly event and is envisioned as that place where people of thought meet to get even better informed about the workings of society with a view to improving same society. Attendance is free but on Invitation.

Conversations at the Gathering are usually stimulated by a presentation or keynote delivered by a frontline speaker; embellished with moderated panel sessions; and then augmented by audience feedbacks.
